Natural dyes are delicate so please do not leave them for long periods of time in direct sunlight.
If your fabric item is rumpled you can freshen it by rinsing it in cold water, wringing gently and hanging straight until dry.
If the item is soiled, I recommend adding a small amount of shampoo for silk and wool--because they are protein fibers-- or Dr. Bronner's type mild soap for hemp and cotton. Agitate Gently.
Hand washing without prolonged soaking will insure that the natural dyes remain intact.
Steam iron is OK but not necessary if you hang the item straight when it's damp.
