Offerings

By laying various leaves, flowers, berries, roots and other botanicals onto natural fabric and paper and processing by way of wood fire, mountain water and steam, I assist Nature in creating amazing and magical scarves, hand-bound books, wall hangings, table runners and other items.

No inks or synthetic dyes are used. All images and colors come from the tannins and pigments contained in the plants themselves. Background colors are derived from classic natural dyes such as logwood, brazilwood and cochineal.

Because of the ever-changing nature of all the components, each print is a unique expression of the alchemy of the botanicals, the water, the season and the moment. No two are ever the same.
